An Thoi Market is the main trading hub at the southern tip of Phu Quoc — a working local market rather than a tourist attraction, which is half its appeal. It opens from around 5am and is busiest early morning when boats from the overnight fishing run come in with fresh catch. The seafood section is the draw: shrimp, squid, green crab, and reef fish, most of it bought and cooked on the spot at stalls around the perimeter. Dried seafood, Phu Quoc fish sauce, local pepper, sim wine, and shell handicrafts fill the surrounding stalls. Budget 50,000–150,000 ₫ (US$2–6) for a bowl of bun ken or grilled squid from the food stalls inside.
